Inspired by horror films old and new, FURTHER THRESHOLDS is a game that runs through the stages of entering into a fantastic situation, and desperately trying to survive it as a terrible threat draws ever closer.
Any normal person's life can be transformed in an instant by crossing a threshold they did not expect. There's no going back once it's crossed, either. Time marches ever onward, and that moment cannot be undone, only new thresholds can be searched for.
Played with a deck of cards and some friends (if you like - it works just as well solo), FURTHER THRESHOLDS is a horror (and often comedy) game that's designed for quick and entertaining outcomes. How much detail you put into the story it tells is up to you, but the outcomes are all down to the fickle whims of destiny.
This game was thrown together in a couple weeks for Halloween - if you see something that needs correction in the book, please let us know and we'll get it fixed. Happy spooky season!
